Red Ribbon Week
SADD plays a huge role in educating students about Red Ribbon Week, which is dedicating to raising awareness about the killing and destruction caused by drugs in America.

Red Ribbon Pledge:
- As parents and citizens, we will talk to our children and the children in our lives about the dangers of drug abuse.
- We will set clear rules for our children about not using drugs.
- We will set a good example for our children by not using illegal drugs or medicine without a prescription.
- We will monitor our children's behavior and enforce appropriate consequences, so that our rules are respected.
- We will encourage family and friends to follow the same guidelines to keep children safe from substance abuse.

Mock Crash
The mock crash is a demonstration hosted by SADD that shows students the horrible consequences of driving under the influence. With a little help from the theater department, students are given the chance to see a reenactment of a deadly car wreck involving alcohol.
Battle of the Belt
The Battle of the Belt challenge is a competition to see which school has the highest percentage of students who buckle up. Ray-Pec won the challenge in 2014 with 91% of students who used their seat belts at the school.
Other SADD Projects
Trunk or Treat- SADD hosts a trunk each year a Trunk or Treat so that kids have a safe environment to go trick or treating on Halloween.
Adopt a Family- SADD adopted a less fortunate family during the holiday season so that the family could receive gifts for Christmas and eat special holiday meals.
Stay Safe Spring Letter Writing Campaign- 3rd and 4th graders wrote letters to high school students encouraging them to stay safe and make good decisions.
